Reasons To Love Purple

I’ve always been drawn to the color purple and heavily identified with it since I was a young child. Purple can be described as dream-like, whimsical, playful and royal. Alternatively, purple can also be mysterious, unstable, deep, and complex. As I have grown with this color, I have seen and fell in love with numerous shades, and wanted to understand the reasons why. I am an artist and designer, integrating these two worlds to explore a new depth of understanding behind color and emotion.

What does the color purple mean and emote? How does purple interact with other colors and textures and does that change the meaning behind it? What is purple associated with in varying cultures, sexuality, psychology, or medically? Why is purple either loved, or hated by the masses?

After exploring these questions I understand purple as more than just a color; It is an expression, identity, and something people resonate with. Purple has had a profound influence on me personally, and there are numerous reasons to fall in love with it. Through nature, stories, design, and experimentation, I'm constantly expanding on the relationship between myself and my love for color.
