Character Collective
At its core, my thesis is made for my future. By making this large array of unique character designs and concept art pieces I am not only building up my portfolio for when I apply to jobs, but also showing I have versatility and range in all of my work too. I want this range to be evident because while I may not have experience yet in the gaming industry, I have the skills to be brought into a project thrown at me and be able to adapt immediately. I also have the deep desire to represent the people around me in a world that still deeply lacks representation. Through my art I like to invoke emotion and feeling in all those who view it. If my work can make someone smile, or shed a tear that helps to heal, or to laugh, or to feel seen, or to just remember a memory they thought was lost to them, then I feel that I have accomplished my goal. In Character Collective I do hope you are able to find a piece of yourself somewhere or perhaps are able to be filled with wonder for just a mere moment.

Hello! My name is Camryn Graffius and I am happy to meet you! I love playing video games, acting, singing and writing! I see myself as somewhat of a generalist in the game design world however I do have an affinity towards character design, concept art, and asset art. I have a deep desire to tell a story that captivates and evokes emotions in all those who experience it. The way we experience narratives is really what brings us together as humans and knowing I can have a piece in that experience means everything to me.
