Capturing gestural motion and fantastical scenarios in ceramic form, my work incorporates an obsession with stories of mysticism and adventure. The main body of my work consists of figurative animal sculptures that narrate tales of innocence and adventure. The sculptures toe the line between realistic animals and fantastical creatures, drawing inspiration from real life animals with varying degrees of realism and fantasy elements mixed together. My work re-establishes a connection with the realm of fantasy for people who feel they're losing contact with the whimsy of being a child. It reminds my audience to embrace their inner kid because their life doesn’t have to be as serious as they were told it should be.
