I make furniture in an attempt to bridge the gap between the natural and human-made world, a visual representation of the spiritual connection we share with the earth and how we can integrate it into our daily lives.

Bio

Graeme Facteau is currently a student at Maine College of Art and Design. Facteau was born and raised in Hopkinton New Hampshire, a small town above the states capitol of Concord in the New England woods. Facteau’s pursuit of design focuses on revitalization of art nouveau stylizations and the philosophy of integrating the elements of nature into his furniture. While this core principle remains the same, Facteau differs from the original artists that founded art Nouveau by drawing source material from insects, exoskeletons, and the fractal patterns of roots without directly referencing them in the pieces.
