Citizen of the Earth

Plastic is a growing and very prevalent issue in the world today. In this body of work, I communicate various ideas about plastic use, plastic waste, and toxic ingredients in our daily products. I did this by creating and designing a concept for an organization called Zero Plastic, opening an Instagram account for the organization, and creating a helpful takeaway product that uses recycled paper. My aim is to be educational, action-driven, and straightforward. I hope that this work will embody its values, make people question their routines and habits, and have a lasting impact on the community.

Bio

Julia is an environmental activist with a BFA in Graphic Design. She worked at a sustainable refill store for two years where there are low-waste, non-toxic products available for purchase. Her job and her private sustainable practices influence her design and design process greatly. She finds pleasure in being organized and informed in her work while being able to combine her other passions, such as sustainability and illustration, with design.
