Magical Antarctica

Magical Antarctica is a teaser trailer for a game about exploration, healing, and rebelling against the narrative of violence. It follows a young wizard astronaut, sent to destroy a planet that has been taken over by corruption. Upon landing they find a small sapling that looks like it could use some help, and although conflicted about their mission, they ultimately decide to disobey their orders and heal the little plant.
My work revolves around being bubbly, colorful, and fun. I am drawn to round shapes and blobby figures because they are reminiscent both of my early and formative inspirations, as well as reference other interests of mine that can be found within organic sciences. I enjoy merging fantastical elements with those of science and science fiction. Fundamentally I believe that the path towards new art should be paved with the merging and evolution of previous, and at times opposite, ideas and themes. Magical Antarctica stands as an exploration into the marriage of science fiction and fantasy, and a starting point for future endeavors into this exploration.
