Through this work I have been reflective on my own understanding of emotional permanence, and capturing the feeling of an emotional sensation within my art. I find that my textures, forms and color start to become stand-ins for emotions, and I seek to create a sensorial immediacy within each painting. In the context of the ephemeral, the body is synonymous with the multitudes of environments we exist in. To confront this is to come to the realization that, when experienced in the present, the world is a sensual space.
