You’ll Always Mean So Much to Me

I create paintings, installations, and felted keepsakes that reference memories, loved ones, and little things that bring me joy. I am currently in love with spotlighting gatherings with both actual and found family. I aim to create spaces that sometimes replicate older places of comfort as an ode to those who once inhabited them. The people being portrayed hold the same amount of importance as the objects that fill those spaces. This display, a representation of the safe place I’ve made with my closest friends, is set for a celebration. Here, the culmination of all the hours we’ve spent together talking, laughing, and sitting in content silence lies in peaceful anticipation. While not all viewers will have their own place setting, the space invites them in with interaction through touch, scent, and sound. There is not much else in the world besides those I love that brings me this kind of bliss, and my hope is always that viewers will be reminded of those they hold dear.
