Oliver Walker

Pine State Project

In order to bring awareness to the land and animals of Maine, I have spent the last several months researching information from The National Audubon Society Field Guide to New England and transferring it into a visual medium. By taking descriptions of the animals from the Audubon field guide, as well as facts, I aimed to create a series of posters that could educate a broad audience regardless of age, and promote the conservation of native wildlife through art.

Bio

Oliver Walker is a working artist and illustrator based in Biddeford Maine who specializes and moves between natural history, reportage, and editorial illustration. His work revolves around themes of science, human nature, and the protection of land and animals. All of which help him create interesting visuals that can either tell factual information, or a narrative. Oliver is currently working and illustrating for The Nature Conservancy in Maine, and will be featured in the upcoming ““RAWR!!” : A Dinosaur Art Show,” a micro art show at the McArthur Library in Biddeford this summer.
