OddJobs!

In a world booming with steam technology, Jarvis and Aspen aim to make a name for themselves as star gadget makers. There’s just one issue: money. Being short on cash to open up their own workshop, the two come across a job opportunity that may turn out to be more risky than they had thought.

Oddjobs is a project that allowed me to explore the realm of visual storytelling. This project pushed me to, not only write a cohesive story, but to bring my writing to life through the visuals that I create as well. Utilizing traditional mediums, such as graphite, I had the freedom to work with as much detail as I wanted, allowing my style to shine through and give each page its own unique feel. By bringing both my visual and written skills together, I created a peace that tells a fun and eventful story that all can enjoy.

I hope you enjoy the misadventures of Jarvis and Aspen!

Bio

My name is Tanisha Marsh and I am a graduating Illustration major at Maine College of Art & Design. I love to create fun characters and place them into unique and expansive worlds! Primarily, I work digitally, but I do tend to dabble in traditional mediums from time to time. My aim with my art is to be able to tell a story as well as bring the reader into another world through not only writing but through art. I am currently focused on improving both my writing and narrative art skills in order to successfully apply my artwork into any story that I choose to write.
