Adventure to Froggyland

Adventure to Froggyland is a thematic remake of the iconic kids board game Candyland. This new take on the classic point A to point B board game follows the adventures of four frog children: Sponk the pirate, Zuzu the knight, Bongo the wizard, and Tot the fairy princess as they’re playing dress up and navigating through the whimsical forest outside of their home. The goal of the game is to be the first to make it back to the treehouse for snack time; Through the use of silly and unique characters, locations, and the implementation of bright colors and fun card prompts, the players will actively be engaged in nostalgic aspects of play, imagination, fun and adventure. With this project, the artist both welcomes and urges the viewer, no matter their age, to embrace their inner child by delving into the whimsical world that is Froggyland.

Bio

Tiana Webster is an illustrator based in New England who graduated from Maine College of Art & Design in Portland Maine in 2023 with a BFA in Illustration and a Minor in Writing. In her work, she creates playfully charming characters and narratives which feature contrasting themes of weird, creepy, and cute culminating in a humorous mix of funky and macabre. As of late, she has been embracing aspects of nostalgia and whimsy as she experiments digitally with bright colors and stylized cartoonish forms. In her practice, she has begun to explore game and pattern design as well as developing her sequential art.
